Who We Are & Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how Penmo ("we", "us") handles
information for: (a) the Penmo iOS application (the "App"), and
(b) this marketing website (the "Website"). The App and Website
have different data practices, which are described separately
below.
App (iOS) — What We Collect

Financial data you enter: expenses, income,
categories, notes, dates, and amounts. This data is stored on
your device. If you enable iCloud sync, a copy is stored in your
private iCloud account to sync across your devices.

Support communications: if you email us, we
receive the information you include (e.g., your email address
and message contents) to respond to your request.

Diagnostics (optional): Apple crash reports and
diagnostics if you opt in via iOS settings. These are provided
by Apple and may include device information and OS version. We
do not receive your financial data in crash reports.
No account required: The App does not require you
to create an account with us, and we do not collect your name or
other personal identifiers for App usage.
Website — What We Collect

No cookies or analytics by us: The Website does
not use tracking cookies or analytics tools.

Hosting and fonts: The Website is served via
GitHub Pages and loads Google Fonts. Standard web server logs
and font delivery logs may capture your IP address and browser
information when pages and fonts are requested by your device.

Outbound links: When you click the App Store
link, you leave our Website and are subject to Apple's policies.
How We Use Information

Provide App features: record transactions,
organize categories, and generate reports locally on your
device.

Sync (optional): if enabled, keep your App data
consistent across your devices using iCloud.

Support: respond to inquiries you send us.

Diagnostics: review Apple-provided crash and
performance data to improve stability (if you opted in at the OS
level).
Storage & Security
On your device
App data is stored locally within the App's iOS sandbox on your
device and benefits from your device's security protections (such
as passcode and Face ID/Touch ID) and iOS app sandboxing.
iCloud (optional)
If you enable sync, your App data is stored in your private iCloud
account. Apple encrypts data in transit and at rest on its
systems. We do not operate our own servers for your App data.
Website
The Website is delivered over HTTPS. Hosting and font providers
may process limited technical data (e.g., IP address) to serve the
site and fonts.
Sharing

No sale of data: We do not sell your data.

Service providers: Apple (iCloud, optional
diagnostics) and hosting/font providers for the Website. These
providers process data to deliver the App/Website functionality.

Legal: We may disclose information if required
by law.
Your Choices

In-App: edit or delete transactions in the App;
you can also uninstall the App to remove local App data from
your device.

iCloud: you can turn off iCloud sync in the App
or in iOS settings. Deleting iCloud data can be managed from
your iCloud settings.

Crash sharing: opt in or out of sharing
diagnostics with developers in iOS settings.
GDPR/CCPA Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access,
correct, delete, or restrict certain processing of your personal

Children's Privacy
The App and Website are not intended for children under 13. We do
not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If you believe a child provided information, contact us to request
deletion.
Data Retention

App data on device: retained until you delete
it or uninstall the App.

iCloud data (if enabled): retained until you
disable sync or delete it from iCloud.

Support emails: retained as needed to address
your request and for legal or operational requirements.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post
updates on this page and update the "Last updated" date.
